Neway is currently looking for a Data Management Information Officer to join our client based with Southwark Council.
This role is starting on the 2nd of April, working 36 hours a week, initially for a 3 month contract that is likely to be extended.
The Management Information Officer role currently available in Southwark supports the Children and Families directorate. We are looking for a confident data and performance person with a collaborative, open working style.
You will be part of a small team who's key aim is to be responsible for data quality, performance, and statutory reporting including to Ofsted and DfE.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure that performance management information is of good quality, that it supports the work of the Senior Analyst and the operational management at a local level.
To support Children and Families front line workers, manager and the wider performance team in developing proactive products leading to solutions focusing on improving outcomes for children and families.
To support in the delivery of high quality, comprehensive, value added performance data, that facilitates excellent social work practice, supports the achievement of outstanding outcomes for children and meets quarterly and annual statutory return duties to the Department for Education.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To maintain confidentiality on all information relating to service users and staff (past and present), ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act.
- To produce statistical information that supports performance management and operational managerial decision making based upon data that is reliable and of good quality.
- Develop specific knowledge and skills that support the remit of the Senior Performance Analysts - Safeguarding and Care
- Support training and guidance to managers and practitioners around data and performance management and how these products are utilised to support effective social work practice.
- To support in the research, collation, capture, storage and publication of evidence and datasets to support strategic planning and decision-making within Children and Families.
