- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other construction professionals to determine project specifications.
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met.
- Obtaining permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities.
- Determining resource needs (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish, with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Planning all construction operations and scheduling intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Acquiring equipment and materials and monitoring stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Supervising the work of direct and subcontract trades and ensuring that program dates and quality standards are being maintained.
- Evaluating progress and preparing detailed reports.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues.
- A valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH is beneficial but not essential).
- A CSCS SkillCard relevant to the industry.
- A first aid qualification (training can be provided if required).
- Experience in managing MEP projects.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
