    Middle Office Analyst - London, United Kingdom - BGC Group

    Description

    Main Purpose of the Role:

    Active in the day-to-day functions of the teams supporting all Equities (focus on Equities %) OTC Derivative\FX brokers\Bonds, ensuring seamless processes are in place to support the accurate flow of trades from trading platforms to the trade capture system and onto the Back-Office account systems. To work with the clients, internal and external to ensure all queries are handled in a timely manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Main tasks:

  • To ensure there are processes in place within the teams for both trade and technical support for all the systems Equity /DA/BMO support.
  • To make sure controls are in place to be compliant with the various industry regulations.
  • Maintain a strong internal/external relationship with teams/third party vendors to ensure market knowledge of products/systems is constantly kept up to date.
  • Liaising with brokers and clients regarding trade discrepancies and resolution of queries through documentation and system amendments are handled in a timely efficient manner.
  • Daily / weekly / monthly reporting of trade volumes and brokerage to both the Front Office and senior management.
  • Producing clear documentation to outline all tasks undertaken by the teams.
  • Create/monitor Daily controls for the teams to ensure clients receive confirmations, EOD checks on all trading systems to ensure trades are clear and sent, notify the team of any outstanding issues and reason why.
  • Projects:

    Support / lead any projects that may arise, offer industry information, and delegate roles throughout the teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

  • Should be motivated and be able to work independently if required, whilst still being an integral part of the team
  • Expected to show initiative and ask questions and promote ideas and suggestions.
  • The candidate needs to be comfortable working in a noisy and vibrant trading floor.
  • Skills / Experience:

    Essential:

  • A good knowledge of the Equity markets - Year experience
  • Good analytical skills
  • Desirable:

  • ISDA knowledge
  • OTC Derivative/Bond Market knowledge
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Good Fidessa system knowledge
  • Qualification / Education Required:
