    Description
    Design & Development Engineer - Medical Devices


    Are you passionate about advancing medical technology and making a real impact on people's lives? Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Design & Development Engineer to contribute to their innovative and dynamic team.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Product Design:
    Conceptualize and develop detailed design plans for cutting-edge medical devices.
    Engage in 2D and 3D mechanical design, PCB modeling, labeling, and cabling design

    Prototyping:
    Execute the prototyping process, translating design concepts into physical prototypes.
    Iterate designs based on feedback and results

    Production Support:
    Undertake and supervise prototype and production builds.
    Provide technical support for existing production processes

    Collaboration:
    Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication

    Regulatory Compliance:
    Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards in the medical device industry

    Testing and Validation:
    Design and conduct thorough testing protocols to validate product performance

    Documentation:
    Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the design and development lifecycle

    Continuous Improvement:
    Actively participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

    Problem Solving:
    Address and resolve design challenges proactively


    Qualifications and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
    Proven experience in designing and developing medical devices.
    Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) and quality management systems.
    Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
    Experience with plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding and 3D printing.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.


    Location:
    London - Hybrid arrangement.
