Full time (35hr per week) Permanent.


Location:
Hybrid: Office based Crawley (2 days) plus additional day in either our Crawley or London Office


50 Best is seeking a skilled digital editor with excellent writing and organisational skills, digital knowledge, innovative mindset, and experience of running a website.

This is a senior role managing the brand's editorial and branded content output as part of an expanding team.

An interest in food and drink is essential and specialist knowledge of the Restaurant, bar, hotel and/or travel sectors an advantage.


What you'll be doing

  • Develop the digital content strategy across food, drink and travel to reach and engage our target audience, meet brand objectives, and deliver desired outcomes
  • Produce compelling and creative digital content, developing content ideas and utilising 50 Best Lists, key industry figures and wider 50 Best contacts and team where required
  • Management of freelancer network across the world to commission content, optimising budgets to maximise impact across the year and provide regular reporting on success
  • Curating and publishing newsletters
  • Partner campaign ideation and project management
  • Liaison with social, commercial and production teams
  • Edit and optimise digital content to enhance quality, readability, and user experience
  • Use your knowledge of digital content and SEO to edit and optimise the discovery of our content and maximise engagement
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and analyse content performance metrics and
  • Take datadriven insights to inform strategy refinement
  • Gain insights on the effectiveness of our content and identify areas for improvement
  • Content lead on 50 Best Discovery database, working with wider team to review voting results, collate venue information, commission profiles, update information where required

Requirements:


What you'll need as our Digital Editor

  • Experience of running a content website
  • Knowledge of wider food, drink, travel and lifestyle sectors
  • Strong writing, copy editing and commissioning ability
  • Organisational skills; ability to multitask under pressure
  • Understanding of commercial partnerships and ability to balance with brand and audience engagement
  • Experience in creating, managing, and delivering successful web pages and websites (including CMS experience and HTML knowledge)
  • Ability to represent the 50 Best brand in liaison with key stakeholders
  • Goalorientated, a strong team player and able to work collaboratively within a larger team
  • Have an innovation mindset
  • Experience and understanding of SEO optimisation
  • Experience and understanding of Social Media
  • Experience in people management
  • Understanding of Analytics
  • Video and photo editing skills an advantage but not compulsory
  • Language skills an advantage, but not essential
