    Learning Support Tutor at East Grinstead

    • Location: East Grinstead
    • Job Type: Full-time

    If you're passionate about helping students thrive, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a Learning Support Tutor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring students access the curriculum and progress effectively within a Secondary school environment.

    Day to Day Responsibilities:

    • Register students and communicate with the attendance team and parents regarding lateness or absence.
    • Supervise alternative provision spaces, maintaining clear behavior expectations.
    • Participate in weekly meetings to assess student progress.
    • Collaborate with Pastoral teams and Assistant Headteachers to provide essential student support.
    • Work closely with school staff to tailor work for students' learning needs.
    • Keep detailed records of interventions and support provided.
    • Stay updated on inclusive education and behavior management practices through continuous professional development.
    • Assist during parents' evenings and school events.
    • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • GCSE A-C in English and Maths or equivalent.
    • Experience working with vulnerable students in an educational setting.
    • Knowledge of effective interventions and their implementation.
    • Hands-on experience with disengaged students to rekindle their interest in learning.
    • Proficiency in utilizing data for target setting and progress tracking.
    • Familiarity with alternative learning provision and supervision.
