- Have experience in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment, ideally with previous experience in a similar role.
- Ideally, some knowledge of fibre rope products would be useful, although full training will be provided
- Have some knowledge and experience in off-shore fibre rope applications, installation & repair.
- Able to undertake NDE inspections and write accompanying NDE inspection report on Windows Microsoft office or equivalent IT system.
- Possess the ability to read engineering drawings
- Ideally have previous experience of installation, inspection and repair of wire and fibre ropes in service and offshore survival certification
- Have a 'can do' attitude to work and be a strong team player, being flexible and able to respond in a positive manner to changing priorities at short notice
- Be able to effectively communicate with clients, both verbally in in writing.
- Be able to absorb and understand technical information with purpose of being able to contribute to the writing of methods statements and risk assessments
- Have a good general standard of education & possess a full UK driving licence
