We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Consultant to join our Marketing team on 6-month fixed term contract to be based in either Edinburgh, Alderley Edge, or London office.

This is a newly created position to support a key strategic project and a rare opportunity to get involved in a new product launch.

The role will involve managing the development and delivery of market leading marketing communications targeted at financial advisers that support the overall Brand and Marketing strategy and delivery of our trading objectives.


You will be responsible for delivering consistently high quality, innovative and relevant communications that engage, enthuse, and inform our target audiences.

Lead cross-functional campaign teams working collaboratively with all colleagues in Brand & Marketing and the wider business to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of marketing activity.

Ensure the audience view is embedded in all marketing activity across the funnel (B2B, B2C, B2B2C and B2B2B2C). Make effective use of data and insight to set campaign and monitor campaign activity, adjusting as appropriate. Measure impact against objectives, reporting to Marketing Manager and other relevant senior stakeholders. Manage campaign budgets.


This is a critical role that requires a motivated individual with a strong understanding of marketing strategies and the ability to deliver results.

About the role


Day-to-day responsibility for major campaigns and initiatives including delivery planning, resource alignment and responsibility for budgets in excess of £100,000.

Ensure alignment of segmentation, contact/engagement strategy and key messaging with Distribution colleagues, supporting an ABM approach
Set clear campaign objectives and measures that align with commercial targets.
Using data and insights continuously test, learn, and optimise marketing activity.

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver marketing to chosen audience groups, working with stakeholders across the Brand and Marketing function and other parts of the business.

Identify and deploy the key internal specialists and external suppliers (including creative and media agencies) required to support a specific campaign and manage these relationships through to successful delivery.

Work with other business areas to identify sales opportunities and turn these into compelling messages and communication tools.
Manage the effectiveness of content to best represent our propositions across all media and channels.

About you

Experience of running large integrated marketing campaigns.
Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques including paid media.
Good knowledge of the Life and Pensions industry, our propositions and distribution model.
Understanding of the intermediated market.
Experience handling data to the appropriate level of security both internally and externally, in line with Data Protection standards.
Excellent project management skills.
Experience working in and understanding the financial services industry and the legislative framework.
Ability to manage large campaign budgets and risks.
Strong experience of marketing planning and development.
