- Organize and maintain the dance and drama area to create an engaging environment for children
- Adhere to policies to ensure a fun and safe environment for the children under your care
- Provide active supervision throughout the day, including breaks and meal times, to meet the children's needs
- Plan and conduct a variety of age-appropriate dance and drama activities using available resources
- Encourage active participation from all children in the group
- Ensure the safe utilization of provided equipment during sessions
- Collaborate with other staff members as needed
- Deliver the 'Dance Fusion' Skills Builder course
- Depending on camp size, job sharing with other Instructors might be required
- Take charge of general welfare and safeguarding responsibilities
- Prior experience in dance and drama
- Minimum age of 18 at contract start date
- Authorized to work in the UK
- Positive attitude, organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to take initiative
- Enhanced DBS check required (can be obtained through Barracudas or existing on the Update Service)
- Mandatory Virtual Assessment Event for new Barracudas applicants
- Annual completion of Online Training
- Attendance at Induction Training Day before the start of the working season
- Compliance with child protection policy when using Camp Tablet/Kindle for music
- Assist with camp wrap-up procedures
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
- Organize and deliver age-appropriate activities within your expertise
- Encourage children to explore new activities as per the timetable
- Promote safe behavior and communicate daily about conduct expectations
- Adhere to camp systems and guidelines on child welfare
- Act as a positive role model promoting a healthy lifestyle and good hygiene
- Report any Child Protection concerns to the designated personnel
- Accommodate children with additional needs or medical conditions
- Deliver Skills Builder sessions as needed
- Support swimming sessions if required
- Flexible to perform various tasks based on organizational needs

Dance & Drama Instructor - Seasonal Role - Norwich, Norfolk
Work Schedule: 08:30 – 17:30
Compensation: £412.00 – £559.17 per week based on factors like age and experience. (Salaries for February Half Term 2023 contracts will be adjusted to the 2023 wage level. 2024 wage level applies starting April 1.)
Reporting To: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office Barracudas maintain a focus on safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young individuals. All staff members are expected to share this commitment.
