    Description

    We would like to hear from individuals with around 3-6 years' experience in the equity product specialist space in regard to a 14 month fixed term contract position at a leading global asset manager.

    Our client invests across equity, fixed income, multi asset and alternative strategies, of which the equity business is one of the most established in the industry. They manage AUM in the hundreds of billions.

    The successful candidate will join the equity product specialist team which acts as the interface between the investment team and distribution (client facing) group, ensuring clear, consistent and co-ordinated messaging relating to the equity funds.

    You will engage with fund managers, investment directors and other teams (for example marketing), possessing an in depth understanding of the strategies and being able to communicating these to the relevant internal stakeholders. The role will include fund analysis (internal and competitor), including performance and attribution, macro themes, style bias and more. There will also be the opportunity to lead client-facing communication.

    Ideally applicants would have strong written skills and perhaps have spent time in an RFP role, prior to moving into product, as you will be writing and distributing fund updates/stories.

    We would ask that applicants possess:

    • Around 3-6 years' experience of which at least 3 should be in an equity product specialist capacity (we are also open to candidates from equity manager research)
    • Strong investment knowledge relating to equities
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent written skills
    • Proactive approach to work and ability to take initiative
    • Collaborative team-focused approach
    • Completion of the CFA would be highly beneficial
