    Description

    Location: Manchester (hybrid working arrangements, typically 2 days per week in the office).

    Employment type: Permanent.

    Salary: up to £70,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

    The Opportunity:

    You'll be joining the Analytics and AI Advisory team within a leading consultancy. In this role, you'll be collaborating with clients to improve their use of data and help them become truly data-driven enterprises.

    As a Data Strategy & Management - Senior Consultant in the business, you will be helping set the direction, driving the business forward, modeling values and behaviors, and coaching and developing junior members of the team.

    Key expectations from this role include:

    • You'll lead the shaping and delivery of client engagements in areas such as Data Governance, Data Ethics, Data modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality and standards implementation, Master Data Management among others.
    • You'll develop client relationships at the senior management level, partnering with them to identify and solve some of their biggest problems related to the delivery of analytics and AI capabilities, leading data strategic discussions.
    • You'll play a key role in developing the Analytics and AI Advisory practice through development of new market leading offerings and capabilities, sharing thought leadership and contributing to business development efforts.
    • You'll contribute to the development of people, supporting the growth of their Analytics and AI Advisory teams through sharing knowledge, insights and training on consultancy offerings and methods.
    • Work within a growing team of technical strategists providing C-Suite level advisory services.

    As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

    • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
    • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
    • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

    You'll exhibit strong value in some of the following areas:

    • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
    • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
    • A strategic thinker with analytical, problem-solving skills, acting as a data management and governance SME on large data and technology transformation projects.
    • You'll employ your technical skills and experience, working alongside peers within the team to support business development activities by building knowledge of our service offerings with clients.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner.
    • Extensive experience in defining, designing and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, tools, metrics and standards for data management (including areal like Data Governance, Data Ethics, Data modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality and standards implementation, Master Data Management).
    • Track-record of managing and leading teams with consulting professionalism and flexibility – you'll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
    • Develop knowledge of existing and innovations in data management practices, sharing learning with the team and through thought leadership and conferences.,

    All applicants must be willing and eligible to apply and obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) level, if not holding an existing clearance.

    It is desired that you have some understanding or experience in the following areas:

    • Knowledge of data management and governance standards, such as DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI and DCAM is an asset.
    • Industry-recognized designations/certifications, including PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS)
    • Architectural / feature knowledge of one or more data and AI platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform; Amazon Web Services; Microsoft Azure).

    As a requirement, all candidates must be SC eligible and come from consulting/consultancy background (sponsorship cannot be supplied). Some travel may be required based on business demand.
