    The Opportunity



    As the Operations Line Lead (OLL), you will report to the Operations Shift Manager, overseeing the overall efficiency of a section of the Middlesbrough factory that includes up to 2 functional areas or lines. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of your team, maintaining food safety standards, and striving to meet or surpass all functional area KPIs covering Safety, Quality, Cost, and Efficiency.


    At its core, your role prioritizes a 'safety first' approach, emphasizing the welfare of your team members and fostering a safe working environment.

    • Establishing and maintaining housekeeping standards
    • Conducting risk assessments and mitigating hazards
    • Leading safety culture checks through SEAT meetings
    • Developing SOPs for tasks and conducting operational work diagnosis for improvement
    • Reviewing material usage and data accuracy
    • Sharing key insights with the team and leadership
    • Performing basic problem-solving
    • Managing and reviewing KPIs at meetings
    • Facilitating training delivery based on agreed plans
    • Maintaining hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards
    • Identifying skills gaps and ensuring production skill availability
    • Managing inventory protocols

    The Skills you will bring to the team



    The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the food industry in a similar role and be enrolled or planning to enroll in further developmental qualifications (e.g., ILM, NVQ).

    • Demonstrated Leadership skills
    • Numeracy and data management proficiency (including Microsoft Office tools and SAP)

    This position is based in Middlesbrough, onsite, following a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
