    Description

    A reputable Defense organization is in search of an E,C & I Design Engineer to join their team permanently, located in Leicester.

    As an EC&I Design Engineer, your role in the Design Consultancy function is crucial. Engage in developing and modifying C&I designs, equipment, and facilities, focusing on life extension activities. Navigate the design lifecycle meticulously, ensuring compliance with strict Design & Safety processes and technical governance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough analysis to capture and understand project requirements comprehensively.
    • Drive the development of designs, including creating detailed drawings and documents.
    • Draft precise specifications as the foundation for project execution.
    • Produce necessary documentation for the commissioning phase, ensuring seamless project integration.
    • Provide oversight, address technical queries, and manage deviations from the design to uphold project integrity.
    • Play a crucial role in the implementation phase by offering valuable technical guidance throughout manufacturing, installation, and commissioning processes.

    Key Experience and Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in developing control and instrumentation systems
    • Familiarity with various electrical instruments and their applications
    • Awareness of regulations, legislation, and standards pertinent to Electrical Engineering - (BS7671)
    • Proficiency in creating electrical engineering drawings and technical documentation
    • Proven track record of following the design lifecycle

    The offered salary is up to £60,000, in addition to 28 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, and other optional benefits.
