    Data Engineer

    Full-time Position - 40 Hours per Week

    Location: Head Office in Leeds

    Salary: Competitive

    Work Arrangement: Hybrid

    The Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and upholding the data infrastructure of the organization. Collaborating closely with the Head of Technology, analysts, and software developers, the Data Engineer ensures the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data for relevant stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain the company's data infrastructure, covering data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
    • Acquire, process, and purify data from diverse sources, encompassing both structured and unstructured data, to prepare it for analysis.
    • Enforce data governance and security protocols to safeguard data and uphold regulatory compliance.
    • Engage with business units to comprehend their data requisites and facilitate data accessibility.
    • Oversee and troubleshoot data pipeline challenges, intervening as necessary.
    • Continually assess and enhance the company's data infrastructure to ensure scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or equivalent domains.
    • Solid proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language like Python or Java.
    • Proficiency in big data tools like Hadoop and Spark.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
    • Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools like Apache NiFi, Airflow, or Glue.
    • Expertise in data governance and security best practices.
    • Strong aptitude for problem-solving and analytics.
    • Effective team player with excellent collaboration skills.
