    Description


    InfraFleet is a next generation provider of sustainable construction equipment to infrastructure projects, on a path to lead the decarbonisation of the construction industry through displacing diesel incumbent technologies.

    As an Octopus Group company, we have strong values, and ambitious plans to expand including internationally.

    Having launched the UK's first fleet of electric vehicle mounted access platforms, and zero emission mobile welfare cabins, we are rapidly expanding our sustainable product portfolio to support our customer's and the UK's critical construction needs, while enabling the planet's path to net zero.

    About the RoleInfraFleet's core business model is procuring and deploying zero emission construction equipment.

    The sustainable equipment in most cases is first of its kind, with manufacturer's having backgrounds primarily in internal combustion engineering.

    InfraFleet has had increasing levels of involvement in our manufacturing partner's supply chains, leveraging proven technology solutions, and applying them to new construction applications.

    This also involves increasing integration between physical assets and digital technology, improving efficiency and safety.

    InfraFleet has recognised the need to fill a core competency in the senior management team of engineering expertise of construction equipment.

    This role will work closely with the team and our manufacturing partners, to ensure the technology chosen and engineered meets our customer's critical application requirements, while also being sustainable.

    We provide nationwide coverage with an expanding depot network across the U.K., and invite applicants from all locations within the UK to apply, with hybrid working arrangements.

    Primary ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the senior management team, primary responsibilities will include:
    Develop and implement the technology strategy alongside the CEOUnderstand different equipment type needs and applicationsPartner with our Technical Director to test, optimise, and develop new equipment, including up-cycling capabilitiesAssess and design equipment systems, including InfraFleet lead products, manufactured by 3rd partiesDevelop supplier landscape, including expanding relationships with next generation suppliers of components and solutionsLead project management of technology development including equipment manufacturing and other strategic technology projects such as building a digital customer platformOwns the technology function, including as an individual member of a start-up able to deliver work directly, and as a member of senior management able to grow and build a team as we scaleWhat we are looking for Engineering Degree6+ years experience with electrical, and ideally mechanical, engineered systemsDeep understanding of battery and power technology applicationsUnderstanding of renewable generation technologyExperienced project managerTeam player with strong values and passion for sustainabilityAdditional experience which would be advantageous:Construction sector experienceCAD/other design and simulation toolsProgramming and digital program developmentPrevious experience within fast growth, start-up style environments
