    Location: Remote – but occasional travel will be required as part of the role

    Job type: Permanent & Full-time or minimum 3 days a week

    Job Summary

    The key purpose of this role is to complete NHS VAT project work to generate profitable incomes against agreed targets. The role will also be expected to look for opportunities for additional and new revenue growth.

    • Planning and scheduling VAT Compliance Reviews against agreed targets and timescales for assigned client base
    • Managing the workload with clients in relation to areas such as start dates and findings and general client care
    • Maintain relationships with clients, understand the client history and assist in the resolution of issues and disputes
    • Communication and relationship management with HMRC to aid efficient query management
    • Updating and recording data and management information in an accurate and timely manner
    • Preparing and presenting reports/making recommendations
    • Maintain and store client and company documentation as required
    • Undertake continued VAT training to ensure knowledge kept up to date
    • Ensure data security obligations concerning clients and the company are adhered to
    • Identify opportunities for additional revenue streams in all areas of the business

    Experience

    • Minimum of five years' recent or current work experience within NHS VAT environment
    • Computer literacy and experience is essential especially in the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and remote communication
    • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
    • Numerate
    • Analytical and logical in their approach with an attention to detail
    • Organisational and planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines and targets
    • Professional manner
    • Able to work on own initiative and be self-motivated
    • Full UK driving licence as travel to client sites will be required

    Qualifications & Training

    • Minimum A Level or equivalent or minimum ten years of recent or current NHS VAT experience
