Job title:

Head of Project Management Improvement & Governance**
Location:Scotstoun, Glasgow - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.


Salary:
Up to £85,000 depending on skills and experience.


What you'll be doing:


  • Lead engagement and functional 'pastoral care' for the Programme Management community
  • Deliver the Programme Management functional plan & strategy, leading on all day to day running of the function including People, Process and Toolset matters
  • Drive the delivery of the Naval Ships element of the PM Modernisation Programme
  • Managing and coordinating the Naval Ships Project Management Improvement Plan
  • Ensuring that Project Management governance and review arrangements are applied in line Naval Ships and Corporate requirements
  • Acting as the deputy to the Project Management Authority, and working in conjunction with the Head of Capability, ensuring that all duties are conducted by SQEP in accordance with Naval Ships
  • Deputise for the Programme Management Director where required

Your skills and experiences:


  • PM&C experience demonstrated in a managerial role within a significant business or project
  • Extensive experience of building relationships and negotiating outcomes with internal and limited external stakeholders
  • Managing people will be a focus and will be managing a team of professional staff in the PM governance and improvement team
  • Supporting functional leadership of a sizeable team of PM&C professionals.
  • Accountable for development and implementation of appropriately tailored practices across PM&C
