- Support the quarterly assessment of in-house actuarial reserve indications on ultimate, earned and SII bases. To ensure that these are presented appropriately throughout the business.
- Assist with the provision of Management Information.
- Assist in undertaking an appropriate level of analysis to support business decisions and provide additional insight to the business.
- Help identify and implement improvements and enhancement in processes and models.
- Assist with internal and external reporting.
- Numerical degree (minimum 2:1)
- Reserving experience, preferably in the Lloyd's or London Market.
- Experience of US GAAP reporting would be beneficial.

Talbot is an international insurer and reinsurer operating within the Lloyd's market through Syndicates 1183 and 2019. We have been part of AIG since 2018 and our ambition is to be AIG's Centre of Excellence at Lloyd's. Headquartered in London, Talbot has offices in New York and Singapore and over 300 people working across these three locations.

Syndicate 1183 underwrites multiple classes of business including Political Violence/Terrorism, Marine, Energy (off-shore and on-shore), Marine and Energy Liability, Hull, Cargo and Specie, Political Risk, Property, Accident and Health, Financial Lines, Cyber, Alternative Risks, Non-Physical Cyber and Treaty Reinsurance.
Syndicate 2019 reinsures premium written by AIG's Private Client Group, covering Homeowners, Auto, General Specie and other products.
What you need to know:
This role is a 12 month maternity cover where you will gain some really varied experience across several lines of business, and work with a fantastic team of reserving actuaries.
