- Lead, manage and develop the day to day running of the payroll function, which includes salary, pensions and expenses, starters, leavers, contract changes and tax code changes
- Ensure accurate month and annual returns are completed for all pension schemes, and all deadlines met.
- To ensure the payroll team can advise managers, People Team, and staff on a range of payroll and pension issues
- Work with the payroll system providers to ensure the correct system setup, to develop the system to improve utilisation and to improve reporting.
- To be the contact for pension legislation and schemes
- Support both internal and external audits
- Previous experience working in a similar Payroll position is essential and be available to start at short notice
- A Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management would be desirable and someone happy to take part in continuous professional development
- Office based role but flexible in start and finish times
- Opportunity for the role to be long-term if desired
