    Description

    CMC Markets is looking for a Derivatives Trader to join their dynamic Derivatives trading team. This role will mainly focus on Equity Index Derivatives while also involving other areas, offering a diverse and fast-paced environment within a key business initiative.

    • Engage in pricing and hedging activities related to Equity Derivatives.
    • Manage various exposures across the trading book, including Spot and volatility risks.
    • Monitor financial markets, identify risks, hedge them, and communicate effectively with team members.
    • Supervise quoting engines and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Oversee operational aspects, collaborate with middle and back office for issue resolution.
    • Design processes to enhance efficiency within the Derivatives pillar.
    • Coordinate with support functions for position reporting, analysis, and PnL evaluation.
    • Contribute to solution development to support trading activities.
    • Mentor junior team members within the Derivatives pillar.
    • Stay updated on market changes to optimize pricing strategies.
    • Aid in hedging overall desk exposure and promote Derivatives desk offerings to clients.
    • Monitor client flow and positions, mitigating risks and identifying arbitrage opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Derivatives Quants on risk management strategies.
    • Work with Development team on pricing and risk components, improving tools for monitoring trading metrics.
    • Enhance desk solutions for revenue maximization and ensure functionality adequacy.
    • Interpret and present data, compile monthly P&L reports for management.
    • Adhere to compliance and company procedures.
    • Required: strong knowledge of Derivatives products, infrastructure, pricing mechanisms, and risk exposures.
    • Act as a liaison for various departments and have a graduate degree in related fields.
    • 3-5 years of experience as a Market Maker, Flow Trader, or Quant/Algo Trader in Equity Derivatives.
    • Proficiency with Excel, VBA, Python, and Bloomberg information systems.
