- Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute mental health conditions, ensuring safety and promoting recovery.
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to create individualised care plans.
- Administering medication in accordance with prescribed treatment plans, monitoring effects, and reporting adverse reactions as necessary.
- Responding to crises and emergencies, implementing appropriate de-escalation techniques and risk management strategies.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of patients, ensuring their voices are heard in treatment planning and care delivery.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated care.
- Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to health and safety protocols and participating in training as required.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Previous experience in a mental health setting, preferably in an acute inpatient environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and manage challenging situations.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and collaborative teamwork.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Acute Mental Health Inpatient team in Nottingham.
