- Creating and enhancing products that fill a niche in the market or allow their clients to remain competitive
- Researching of legislation, industry codes, customer experiences and demands
- Consulting market research materials and sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive
- Improving customer experiences through solution orientated engineering
- Outlining a detailed product strategy
- Managing cross-functional teams (internal and external)
- Managing product road maps and releases
- Understanding and communication of key product selling points.
- Identifying and filling product gaps
- Generating new product ideas
- Submitting proposals and designs for evaluation by the project team and management before moving to the next stage
- Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.
- Developing product pricing and positioning strategies
- Working alongside sales and engineering teams
- Working with marketing teams to manage product launches
- Acting as a product campaigner and representing the company at public events
- Support internal training of team on all product ranges, as well as support externally with technical support ownership
- Engage supplier base and identify synergies across their product range and technical capabilities for efficiency
- Proven experience in product development and project management in Electro Mechanical fields. Lift specific experience has added benefit
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Adaptability and a passion for staying ahead in a dynamic industry
- Lift technology related qualification or viable industry alternative (Electro Mechanical)
- Full understanding and ability to apply current and progressing industry regulations to products/services
- Good written and verbal communication and presenting skills

- Project Management tracking and reporting tools – Microsoft Project or suitable alternative
- Technical drawing packages – AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or viable alternative
- Mechanical and electrical testing equipment experience
- Full UK Driving License
- Passport holder with no restrictions on international travel
- Nominated key holder responsibilities
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their line manager from time to time
- The jobholder should be aware of and comply with company and statutory requirements regarding health & safety, fire and hygiene
