    Management Accountant - Manager Southampton - Hybrid Salary: Up to £55,000 Study support if requiredA brand new, exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established accountancy firm in Southampton as the outsourced department manager. Having come about through business success and growth, this role will manage a team of 6, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the department runs smoothly. This role would be ideal for a qualified management accountant who has previously managed a small team within a UK based accountancy practice and who is looking for further progression within management. As an integral role within a new and growing team, genuine and uncapped progression will be available. Key duties:

    • Managing a team of 6 outsourced accountants of varying levels.
    • Assist with technical queries, mentor staff, and support with the workflow.
    • Manage workflow and timeframes to ensure tight deadlines are met.
    • Manage a small portfolio of clients, responsible for management accounts, cashflow, forecasts and VAT returns.

    Requirements:

    • Ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified but all levels of qualification will be considered.
    • Experience managing a team within a UK based accountancy practice is essential.
    • Strong management accounting experience.
    • Previous experience holding a portfolio of accounting clients.
    • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients directly.
    • Experience completing quarterly VAT returns, cashflows, and forecasts.
