Our client based in Dartford is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.The client is passionate about their team and believes Veterinary Nurses are the absolute back bone of the practice.
The nurses generally have a hand in most areas' day to day, including carrying out schedule 3 procedures, anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, looking after the inpatient care, carrying out various types of nurse clinics and completing laboratory duties.
They pride themselves on offering high quality vet care at prices affordable to all. The practice is well equipped including digital x-ray, consult rooms, separate kennels, cattery, prep and theatre. The rota allows exposure to interesting and varied cases. The practice is conveniently located just off the M25 and is easily commutable from London. The friendly team consists of 5 Vets and 4 Nurses who are supported by wonderfully efficient receptionists.The clinic has an established client base and the team are passionate about providing gold standard care to clients and their pets.
There will also be some reception duties such as:taking telephone calls/inpatient enquiries and stock control: ordering and unpacking orders.
You will be supporting the Head Nurse in the supervision/training of SVNs & ANAs when on shift, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness throughout the practice by upholding the practice' infection control procedures.
The role is full time for 40 hours per week in 5 days, consisting of either an early shift (8:00am to 4.30pm) or a late (11:00am to 7.30pm).
The position will also include Saturdays on a rota and in turn you will receive time off the following week.
However, there may be a degree of flexibility for the right candidate. No OOH as that is looked after by Vets Now. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You will be outgoing, calm and positive and be passionate about providing excellent care. The candidate must be RCVS registered.Salary is up to £29k pa and there is a relocation allowance of up to £2.5k if required.
