    Description

    Quantitative Trading DevOps Engineer

    Our client are at the cutting edge of Quantitative Algorithmic Trading. They are a group of Mathematicians and Engineers pushing what is possible with the latest technologies and original research into the intersection of finance and technology. They are looking for a DevOps Trading Engineer to take ownership of their Cloud-based Trading Infrastructure creating and fine tuning the environment for their code, production and tooling. This DevOps Trading Engineer must be a IaC/CloudNative evangelist. Ideally, this person will probably come from a background of electronic Trading but if you are passionate and talented with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) then apply. This firm work on an AWS environment and they need someone who knows the technology inside out.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, Fine- tune the firms trading infra.
    • Automate real-time and batch jobs.
    • Collaborate with industry leading SWE on development and testing.
    • Spearhead the growth and consolidation of a reliable, secure, and efficient infra.
    • Troubleshoot any technical issues.
    • Monitor for both errors and performance; continuously improving.
    • Be a point of collaboration between the Quants, Traders, Developers and other stakeholders to ensure the trading functionality of all systems.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years in a similar role as DevOps/infra Engineer
    • Production experience in a fast paced mission critical team - tune/monitor for performance and failures
    • AWS
    • UDP, TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPN
    • IaC, IaC, IaC
    • CI/CD pipelines like GitHub
    • Kubernetes, Docker, GitOps processes
    • DBA (Postgres and MySQL)
    • Monitoring - Prometheus or Grafana
    • Time-Series Databases
    • Kafka
    • Python and Shell Scripting
