    Wood Chemical Engineering Summer Student Placement

    Wood is accepting applications for Chemical Engineering Summer Student placements working within the Process Engineering Department in Reading and Staines starting in July 2024.

    # Industrial clusters, concept development to detailed engineering.

    # Future of hydrocarbons:

    adapting existing facilities and designing ambitious new projects, to produce the next generation of lower carbon fuels and chemicals.


    Please note applications will be for a July 2024 start and are expected to be for approximately 3 months, though this will be dependent on the exact project requirements and your university commitments.


    As a Summer Student you will be involved in undertaking process design activities on Wood's current projects. Work within the various Process Engineering design teams on Wood's current projects.
    Assist in the production of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and other process drawings as required.

    Assist the Lead Process Engineers in undertaking other non-technical tasks as directed, including tracking of comments on issued documents, updating progress measurement and schedule programs, recording actions in project review and HAZOP meetings.

    Must be studying for an MEng in a Chemical Engineering-related discipline, which must be an IChemE accredited degree course
