    Data Analyst 18 Month Fixed Term Contract (Glasgow, Hybrid 2 days per week)


    Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading pensions and mutual funds companies, seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team in Glasgow.

    This role will be part of a newly established Data Analytics team within the Actuarial function, focusing on collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.

    You will work with datasets, identify trends, and present findings to key stakeholders.

    nThis position will be seconded to the Commercial function, working full time with the Head of Commercial Pricing and Analysis to define metrics and develop dashboards that will enable the Commercial function to:
    nDrive growth across acquisition, retention, and profitability objectives.nReport on progress against growth goals to other functions.

    Key Responsibilities:
    nData Collection and Integration:nFocus on sales data (acquisition and retention) and profitability indicators for own brand and partnership products (savings, investments, pensions, life insurance)

    nData Analysis:
    nUse statistical methods and tools to analyze datasets.nIdentify trends, patterns, and correlations in commercial data.


    nReporting and Visualization:
    nPrepare and present clear, concise reports and visualizations of data findings

    nCommercial Strategy Support:


    nCollaborate with the wider Commercial team to understand goals and challenges.nUse data to support pricing strategies, market segmentation, acquisition and retention performance, and product performance.


    nContinuous Monitoring and Improvement:


    nMonitor KPIs and provide regular updates on commercial performance.nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in data management and analysis.


    nData Governance and Compliance:
    nEnsure compliance with data protection regulations.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    nProven experience as a data analyst, ideally in a commercial or business sector.nProficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL).nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
