    About the role

    We believe that successful engagement requires a 'whole systems' approach; this includes a commitment to working collaboratively with families, actively supporting participation in the planning and delivery of services and working closely with partners to deliver an integrated response. We are multi-disciplinary team of specialist practitioners working with young people aged 11+ to prevent family breakdown.

    We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to assist and support the management team with the day-to-day operations of the Family Assist Service. You will be responsible for a small caseload with higher levels of complexity, you will also assist and support the leadership team in managing the overall work of the team, supervising staff from a range of professional backgrounds within the service as determined by the management team.

    Your practice will be underpinned by a sound knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding along with extensive knowledge and understanding of using evidence-based approaches including systemic therapy. Practitioners will be working within an outcomes-based performance framework evidencing positive diversionary outcomes for young people identified at risk of entering care. You must have a flexible "what works" attitude and be prepared to work evenings and weekends.
