- It is essential for this job to have proven experience of working with young people in a residential childcare setting.
- You will be a vital part of a team providing a comprehensive service to young people.
- This job will require you to be awake on duty at all times throughout the night in order to be able to monitor and respond to young people's individual needs together with the on-call manager.
- To fulfil the requirements of this job it is necessary and essential that you have a full valid driving licence and be willing to drive with young people in a vehicle.

In addition to making a positive impact on the lives of our children, there are generous enhancements paid for evenings, weekend working, Bank Holidays and sleeping in duties, additional to your salary.
You will receive an additional salary enhancement of % after pm weekdays, % weekends and £ per sleep in.

We can offer flexible working hours, whether you are looking for part time of full-time work which could fit around your personal lifestyle.
Ensuring the right staff are matched to the right child or young person is at the forefront of the services we deliver. You would have one stable base but from time to time your skills and approach may be better suited to working in one of our other homes. Our homes are all close together and would not involve unreasonable travel considerations.

We are looking to recruit to both full time and part time positions.

We are looking for individuals to help ensure children and young people receive a high level and quality of individual support throughout their time in our homes.
You will be working within a team supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes, build appropriate relationships and have fun, being there at every step of their development. You need to be willing to learn and share experiences, skills and knowledge whilst also putting children and young people at the centre of your role.
You will be awake on duty at all times throughout the night to monitor and to respond to young people's individual needs and the requirements/instruction of on-call Managers.
What We Are Looking For From YouAs a Waking Nights Officer, you will play an essential part in providing direct care and effective support to young people to enable them to achieve positive outcomes in line with their childcare personal plan.
Every day is different, and you will face new challenges, we need staff members with a can-do attitude, that are willing to go above and beyond for the young people in their care.
We need our team to help recognise and promote young people's individuality, uniqueness and diverse needs whilst providing a nurturing and positive environment.
As part of the role, you will be providing waking night support, taking responsibility for providing a safe, warm, and supportive environment. You will work closely with the team to implement and manage sensitively the routine nightly care arrangements for young people.
You will be awake on duty at all times throughout the night to monitor and to respond to young people's individual needs and the requirements/instruction of on-call Managers. You need to have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of out of hours services as and when required.
You will be required to take part in handovers at the beginning and end of the shift, carrying out any tasks as requested and reporting any observations or incidents to the incoming staff of which they need to be aware.
