    Description

    Conrad Consulting is collaborating with a well-established consultancy to find an experienced Architectural Technician with expertise in contract administration. The role is based near Chelmsford, Essex.

    The consultancy specializes in delivering top-notch projects in Surveying, Architecture, and Project Management for Educational, Commercial, and Residential clients across London and surrounding counties. With a track record of 25 years, their tailored and professional approach has earned them an excellent reputation.

    To continue their success, they are looking for an intelligent, self-motivated Architectural Technician to join their team and work on a variety of engaging projects.

    This role involves developing schemes, estimates, specifications, tender packages, site visits, and project administration. It's not your typical Architectural Technician position; rather, it focuses on project management, particularly in the Education sector.

    Responsibilities:

    • Undertake school condition surveys and reports for Condition Funding Applications
    • Liaise with educational institutions for viable capital refurbishment projects
    • Organize specialist survey reports for funding bids
    • Prepare specifications, tender documents, and funding applications
    • Manage employers agent/contract administration roles for projects
    • Organize documentation for project delivery
    • Perform other relevant duties as required

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Architectural Technology (preferred)
    • Extensive experience in UK Architecture
    • Knowledge of Architectural Design, Town Planning, and Building Regulations
    • Client-facing experience
    • Experience in team management (preferred)
    • Ability to produce high-quality documents meeting client and business needs
    • Experience with JCT contract forms
    • Driving license

    The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to 50k, plus a bonus based on performance.
