- Working alongside a x-disciplinary team of Polymer and Electrochemistry Scientists, share your development expertise and support the development of new energy storage products
- Lead the testing of new system prototypes and providing data analysis
- Design and create experiments to improve products, such as trialling new materials, form factors or concept designs
- Develop a pilot line manufacturing process for new prototypes and test for repeat-ability
- Be part of the scale-up process, utilising new processes or materials from research and testing them in larger cell formats, analysing performance and feeding back into the research team
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 4+ years' experience in a relevant 'real world' R&D environment
- Demonstrable hands-on engineering skillset, with a superb understanding of chemical systems and manufacturing processes
- Start-up mentality
- Experience with batteries, supercapacitors or similar is preferred
- Understanding or experience with polymers
- Experience working with electronic systems, such as sensors, testing equipment or chemical process development
- Dependant on your level, a Senior Engineer could attract up to around £60k. Those with less experience would be £45k+
