- Help in the development of automated solutions for the team to fulfil its regulatory responsibilities such as ongoing monitoring of performance, risk and KPI reporting into various stakeholder committees and boards
- Leverage various systems used by the group to extract clean set of data
- Develop and maintain models or tools for the Investment Oversight team to monitor and oversee performance, risk and other KPIs
- Develop solutions to streamline the production of analytical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders

- Undergraduate degree, preferably in a numerical discipline with a significant computing programming component
- Demonstrable relevant work experience in a similar role within the asset management industry or sell side industry and working with large and diverse data sets coming from multiple sources
- Advanced Excel skills. High Proficiency in VBA, SQL, Python, or any other programming language (i.e. C#). Power BI knowledge desirable
- Effective and confident communication skills, such that outcomes can be achieved via a 'partnership style' approach with key stakeholders.

Role Context
abrdn ('Group') invests in a full range of asset classes across a number of geographies, including Edinburgh, London, Philadelphia, Boston and Singapore. In addition, the business has operations in Japan, India, China, and other locations globally. With AuM of approximately €247bn (1), the Group manages a wide range of asset classes encompassing equities, bonds, real estate, private markets, money markets, fund of funds and multi asset funds.
abrdn Investment Luxembourg S.A. ("aILSA") acts as the Super Management Company for the Group and delegates investment management activities to abrdn group entities across the world. The company is responsible for, amongst others, acting in the best interests of fund investors, overseeing service providers and investments as well as risk management of fund portfolios.
aILSA's Investment Oversight Luxembourg is primarily assessing the quality of investment capability, through independent evaluation and challenge of investment processes and outcomes. It also ensures that clients' assets are managed in line with expectations. The team covers a wide range of mutual funds across public (Equities/Fixed Income/Multi-Asset/Money market) and private markets (Real Estate/Infrastructure/Private credit/multi-asset) totalling approximately €68bn AuM. It delivers independent analysis, insight, challenge and works with the Group Investment Oversight team. The team also works closely with the relevant investment management teams to ensure objectives are met and any issues escalated and resolved appropriately.
Role purpose
As an Investment Analytics Analyst, you will be a key member of our Investment Oversight team, bridging the gap between technology, data, and Investment Oversight. Your role involves leveraging our Group technology and data to enhance investment oversight activities and related analyses across both public and private markets. The key responsibilities include:
