Job summary:


  • Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is looking for a friendly Receptionist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and support staff located at
- the Dental GP, Salisbury.
  • The position offers 12.95 hours per week, over days to be discussed at interview.

Job description:


Person specification:


  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Initial contact with patients and ensuring the reception area is always maintained and tidy.
  • Checkingin patients and raising the necessary documentation.
  • Answering all enquiries, telephone, online and face to face.
  • Ensuring that Forms Medical (F-Med) 271s are available for each surgery (if requested) at the beginning of the working day and are meticulously filed in the appropriate locked cabinets at the end of the working day.
  • Carrying out booking in and out of F Med 271s using the Information Technology (IT) supplied, in line with current procedures. Actioning the appropriate registers.
  • Maintaining the appointment diary, making appointments (including Hospital appointments and referrals where applicable) as requested by Dental Officers and the Dental Hygienist. Informing the Clinician concerned should it prove impossible to appoint a patient at a particularly requested time.

  • A good solid understanding of Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel)
