Part 2 Architectural Assistant - Sussex Studio (Resi team)


We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our residential team in our Sussex studio.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and progress in your architectural career within a renowned architectural firm.

We operate from multiple studios including Worthing seafront, Central London and Central Bristol, specialising in a wide range of sectors, including residential, education, commercial, healthcare, and hospitality.

Our practice is committed to creating inspiring spaces that enhance the lives of the people who use them, while incorporating sustainable design principles into every project.


Position Overview:


As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at ECE Architecture, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of design proposals including, preparing drawings, schedules reports, visualisations and coordinate designs with other consultants.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


  • Assisting Senior members of the team in the development of design concepts and presentations.
  • Conducting research and preparing drawings and models to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
  • Keeping uptodate with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed your Masters in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Have 1+ year UK practice experience working on medium to large scale residential projects.
  • Proficiency in industrystandard software, such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A working knowledge of Revit is desirable but not essential for this role.
  • Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • A keen interest in sustainable design and a desire to contribute to the creation of environmentally conscious buildings.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and technical skills.

The studio is conveniently located within a short walk of Worthing and East Worthing train station and there is free parking within a 15-minute walk.
