About Our Client:
Established School Trust, based in London. Offering on a Part-time bases.
The key responsibilities:
- Ensure employee records are kept up to date in both the Teacher Pension Scheme (TPS) & Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), and National Employment Savings Trust (NEST).
- Checking monthly pension reports for the rectifying anomalies.
- Ensure that the monthly reports are checked for accuracy, and the relevant information is uploaded to the portal by the required deadlines.
- Lead the transition from Monthly Data Collection (MDC) to Monthly Contributions Reconciliation (MCR)
- Ensure submission and reconciliation of the TPS End of Year Certificates (EOYC) via the portal by the deadline date and assist/support with the annual audit of the EOYC and answer associated queries.
- Ensure submissions and reconciliations of multiple LGPS Year End returns and answer associated queries.
- Maintain the pensions monthly monitoring spreadsheets and address any discrepancies from the pension reports.
- Ensure that all autoenrolment processes are undertaken as required, including production of the letters to staff, submissions to the Pensions Regulator and updates to the HR & Payroll system and relevant pension schemes.
- Update starters, leavers, employees opting out etc, in line with fund reporting requirements.
- Updating Teacher (T28 form) pension records.
- Ensure that all queries from staff or third parties, including but not limited to service terms and contribution rates, are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
- Conduct routine data audits and data cleansing exercises, particularly where data originates from multiple sources.
- Work closely with the Finance team.
- Identify and implement process improvements in the immediate work responsibility to improve throughput and customer service.
- Identify and implement necessary process improvements in the immediate work area.
- Produce reports and data analysis as required to a high standard of accuracy and presentation.
The Successful Applicant:
- Proven indepth practical knowledge and understanding of administering multiple pension schemes: Local Government Pension Scheme, Teachers Pension Scheme and NEST.
- Experience in pensions administration within the education/public sectors.
- Good ICT skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Advanced Excel skills are required.
- High level of accuracy and detailoriented approach.
- Proven ability to carry out mathematical calculations.
- Able to prioritise and meet tight/fixed deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with the confidence to work independently and be an effective team player.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Selfmotivated, enthusiastic and with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Understanding the importance of discretion and confidentiality
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
