Are you an experienced caregiver with a passion for guiding and supporting children and young people? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Senior Residential Worker.
We are partnered with a renowned children's residential care provider committed to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people.
In our Children's Residential Homes located in Hingham, we create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
As a Senior Residential Worker, you will take on a leadership position within the care team, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
You will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff members while also directly supporting the children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities of the
Senior Residential Worker:
Lead and supervise the care team, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff members.
Oversee the day-to-day operations within the residential setting, ensuring that the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children and young people are met.
Serve as a role model for the team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a strong commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the wider team and external professionals, ensuring that the needs of each child are met.
Facilitate regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to staff members.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a coordinated approach to support.
Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting, with demonstrated leadership skills.A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals.
Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.
