Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Associate Lecturers with a background in Radiography, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Dietetics to support teaching and learning on our new BSc Nutrition and Dietetics course and our existing BSc Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Radiography courses in the School of Allied Health and Community. You will join a friendly and supportive team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and radiographers who play key roles in the delivery and on-going development of courses across the School. Responsibilities for the post will include teaching or marking assignments on the BSc and MSc (pre-reg) Allied Health courses.
All staff across the School work as an inter-professional team, teaching collaboratively across shared and profession specific modules at all academic levels and you will be expected to share this philosophy.
Selection Process:
Short-listed candidates invited to interview will be asked to deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by a formal interview process. The topic will consider teaching 'Evidence-Based Practice education for healthcare professions', aimed at Level 4 students.
Background
The School of Allied Health and Community offers courses ranging from foundation degrees in various specialties in health and social care, to BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedic Science and Social Work, and Master's level study in a number of disciplines related to Health and Social Care. The School is also developing a range of new CPD provision. The wider College of Health, Life and Environmental Science has an exceptional reputation for excellence and the appointee will further develop the quality of our provision through strong collaboration with our practice partners.
NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week.
