- Develop good business relationship with new and existing brokers.
- Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team. This includes quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).
- Responsible for managing and serving a panel ofassigned brokers' accounts.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers, in line with Underwriting Authority.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to brokers.
- Visit brokers as required to develop business and maintain existing book / cross-selling company's products.
- Produce monthly reports for renewals and provide accurate analysis.
- Identify poorly performing accounts and take remedial actions as needed.
- Liaise with Claims team and prepare relevant claim reports.
- Liaise with Finance team on daily broker / client enquiries and assist Finance team on premium receivable, as part of key tasks.
- Liaise with IT team for system enhancement and the testing of new & existing products.
- Certificate in insurance (Cert CII)
- MS Office skills such as Excel and PPT etc.
- Over 2-years' experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines.
- Good understanding and knowledge of insurance industry.
- Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory practices and legislation in the industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Good communications and negotiation skills.
