PRINCIPAL CIVIL/HIGHWAYS ENGINEER£50,000 - £60,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)NEWARKA Design and engineering consultancy who handle large projects through consulting construction and compliance are looking for a Principal Civil/ highways engineer.
As a Principal Engineer, you will be working in a growing UK Highways Sector, you are expected to have a strong track record on highway projects working with contractors and/or end clients on large highway schemes.
You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers, Technicians, and external suppliers to deliver high quality output on projects, front clients and liaise with project stakeholders as required.
Candidates will need to be a Chartered Engineer with the relevant UK bodies and must have significant experience in highways design alongside practical knowledge and experience of highways design standards, specifications and CDM regulations.
You must also be experienced in the digital delivery on highway schemes in BIM environment.Candidates must have at least 5 years of UK highways experience and a minimum of 8 years highways experience overall.
Project experience in highway designDetailed highway alignment designAutoCAD skills are essential with Civil3D (or similar) and/or MX capabilityHighway Drainage network designSustainable drainage systems (SuDS)S38 and S278 Highways design, negotiation, and technical approvalCut/Fill assessments and earthworks volumesUtility coordination, networks, and strategiesGood skills with MS packages including excel and WordExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience in a client facing positionAbility to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial mannerA strong team-working ethic is essential For more information on this fantastic opportunity then speak to Andrew Sparks at Conrad Consulting email Or call on (phone number removed)
