Contentious Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer 6+ PQE (Senior Associate-Legal Director), London:Vasto Legal Recruitment are working exclusively with a highly regarded national law firm with a growing presence and an aim to grow the financial services litigation practice nationwide. We are looking for a senior Lawyer with Financial Services Litigation experience (ideally contentious regulatory experience) to play a key role in supporting the team and firms growth. As a result, there are excellent and real progression (Partner) prospects.
The Firm & Opportunity
At present, this is a small and growing team that offers a Senior Lawyer a rare opportunity to work directly alongside established and highly reputable Partners with backgrounds from top City firms.
This is a firm with a large Bristol HQ and other offices in the UK - London is a small office so although the Partners travel often, a senior team member would be required if based in London.
There is a great deal of high-quality FS/Banking/Regulatory litigation work coming through a senior member is required, but this position goes beyond servicing work and is a rare opportunity to play a key role in supporting the growth of a team, being an advocate for the firm, being client-facing and much more.
The work in contentious regulatory matters services financial services clients, banks, and other organisations in a regulated environment. This often includes advising on investigations by the PRA, FCA, Ofgem and more.
The Partner leading this practice has many years experience gained from one of the best and most well-known UK law firms in the City of London.
This is a full-service law firm that has a growing presence nationally, acting alongside and against leading international law firms nationwide in all practice areas.
The firm offers an exceptional working environment – many (over 50% of) Lawyers have flexible working arrangements and hybrid working is commonplace and highly flexible.
As such, the firm continues to grow and attract Lawyers from leading law firms nationwide.Requirements
We require an individual with strong and high-quality litigation experience (ideally 6+ years post-qualified) in the banking / financial services sector.
You may not need to have pure contentious regulatory experience, but some experience in this space will definitely be required and training/upskilling is certainly offered.
The character traits of any Lawyer joining the team are highly important.The team are looking for a motivated and commercially-minded individual - a Lawyer with the ambition to progress, with high-quality work experience, and someone interested in working closely with the Partners to support this ambition.
Salary£70k-£125k (depending on level of PQE and experience - £100k+ at LD level) + excellent bonus + excellent benefits
