Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our team at a large holiday resort near Eastbourne. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals and ensure the smooth operation of all maintenance activities within the resort.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of Electricians, Gas Engineers, Plumbers, and General Maintenance staff.

Oversee reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring effective rostering.

Uphold quality management standards and ensure all works are completed to a high standard.

Communicate and receive pre-planned works electronically via a PDA/tablet.

Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety policies.

Manage administrative, stores, and planning functions.

Efficiently manage costs, purchasing, and budgets.

Demonstrate effective resource planning and management.

Provide Facilities Management services to other departments, organizing insourcing or outsourcing as needed.

Maintain a competent understanding of IT systems.

Respond to maintenance requests promptly and in a cost-effective manner.

Recharge parts (and labor) internally and accurately.

Make purchasing decisions based on best value and appropriate quality.

Foster effective communication with internal customers to manage their businesses accordingly.

Monitor utilities consumption and drive consumption reduction across all areas of the resort.

Maintain and promptly repair utilities, building management systems, and controls.

Manage refuse and recycling in compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within the hospitality or leisure industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent organisational and planning abilities.

Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.

Proficiency in IT systems and adaptability to new software applications.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of utilities management and consumption reduction strategies is desirable.
