Governance & Compliance Officer, permanent, part-time 4 days per week. London (including hybrid working) £36,405 pro-rata, per annum
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers.

We shape planning policy, raise professional standards and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.


We are looking for a new team member to provide a full range of high level administrative support in the governance and compliance function.

You will act as secretary to various RTPI Board sub-committees and panels, arranging and sourcing venues as well as preparing and circulating agendas and taking minutes.

The role will involve liaising with Trustees, committee members and Senior Executive Team members, assisting with member elections and updating pages on our website.

In addition to governance duties, you will also provide data protection advice and administrative support including administering our e-learning system.


Experience of working in a governance role is essential as is experience of formal meeting agenda management and minute taking.

Experience in a data protection role or experience of working in a professional membership organisation or charity would be an advantage.
