    Northamptonshire Children's Trust Young People's Service offers support to young people and their families with identified complex support needs and offers targeted support to address risks outside the family home, in addition to the longstanding focus on keeping children safe within families.

    What will you be doing?You will be the lead professional or work to support the lead professional with defined pieces of work to help support our young people. The role will require you to complete return home interviews with young people who go missing, support the delivery of group work and work with young people who are/or at risk of being sexually and criminally exploited amongst other concerns, with a specific focus on addressing extra familial harm.

    We are committed to building a skilled, knowledgeable, and flexible workforce promoting innovation and creativity whilst keeping children, young people, and families at the heart of all we do. Our aim is to provide young people and families with the right services at the right time and for young people to be supported to make a successful transition to adulthood.

    You will be providing a county wide service so you would need to be able to travel effectively across county and would be based in one of our children's centres closest to your home address.
    About youYou are an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

    You're able to work flexibly with families and advocate on behalf of children, young people and vulnerable adults

    You hold a Level 3 qualification in working with children, young people vulnerable adults and their families or have substantial professional experience in this area

    You have experience of direct work with families with multiple problems and with families who find it difficult to engage with services.

    You are able to mediate, negotiate and problem solve and undertake individual and family assessments and assess needs and risk.
