    Job summary

    Alvie Health is the first digital health coachingservice for people undergoing or recovering from treatment for cancer. Wedeliver risk-stratified, digitally enabled programmes of pre-rehabilitation toget people fit for surgery and cancer treatment and to sustain healthimprovements in the long term.

    Clinically effective proven reduction inpost-operative complications by up to 50% and improved quality of life

    Sticky 90% programme retention to support thescaling of our company we are looking for an exceptional person to join ourforward-thinking, multi-professional team as a specialist nurse with experience(or a keen interest) in delivering remote assessments and programmes ofpre-rehabilitation.

    Main duties of the job

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who hasa wide range of clinical experience and knowledge, working across a variety ofcancer treatment modalities with a clear understanding of the cancer diagnosisand treatment pathway.

    Someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills,familiar with principles of behaviour change science and coaching, highlyorganised and a passion for delivering excellent patient centred care.

    You will workautonomously from home running a virtual patient clinic. You will do this with astrong support network and clinical technology resource. You will be usingin-house systems, app technology and as part of your induction will receivespecialist training and support on our remote programmes.

    You must feel comfortable adapting quickly and managingindependently. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping thefuture of the service and create opportunities for your own development as theservice grows and develops.

    You may be involved in supporting the coaching team and advisingon clinical issues or concerns.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    Manage your own clinical case load of patientsremotely presenting with a variety of conditions and health goals.

    . Providespecialist cancer nursing advice to Alvie clinical and patient facing teams.

    Hold consultations and connect with patientsremotely online, using our app and workflow technology to hold videocalls toprovide specialist nursing consultations and support.

    Use high quality assessment skills to developevidence-based and highly effective management plans.

    Use our patient workflow system to manageappointments and records, and our digital health tools and app to prescribepatients with p/rehabilitation programmes

    Participate in supervision for both self anddelivery to others

    Uphold our high standards of quality and safetyacross all that you do

    Connect with the wider business and teams basedat our partner organisations as and when required

    Assess and benchmark acceptable standards forpractice

    Provide advice and leadership to junior membersof the clinical team

    Person Specification

    Experience

    Essential

  • Significant clinical experience in cancer and / or palliative care (> 3 years)
  • Senior experience as a in a band 6/7 role.
  • Experience in clinical audit and research.
  • Knowledge of current initiatives and developments related to specialty
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to organise, plan and prioritise deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Report writing and presentation skills
