- Strong technical knowledge and operational experience of water assets and systems from Source to tap
- Strong technical knowledge of analysis, how to use geospatial information and various data modelling tools including hydraulic models
- Specialist or subject matter expert in a technical discipline or project management (as required by portfolios)

They are currently looking for an Optimisation Engineer to join their team of Engineers within the Treated Water Distribution Optimisation team. You will be responsible for identifying and developing network optimisation opportunities across the system. You will lead on the design and delivery or implementation of system-based Source to Tap Optimisation solutions across the AWS region. You will have the ability to engineer specific and tailored solutions that are cost effective and efficient within agreed timescales and cost constraints utilising the appropriate delivery route.
The role requires a good level of general water engineering knowledge with a specialism in water distribution, preferably with expertise in hydraulic modelling. Through expert analysis of our water systems you will identify and deliver smart water network solutions to improve the performance of our systems allowing us to create an innovative, smart water network of the future. As part of a wider team you will work across source to tap, supporting Water Resources and Supply, Treated Water Distribution or System Level Projects.
Using technical and process experience, you will provide support to the Water Optimisation Team and Water Business Stream in relation to the reduction of operating costs of the water system. The role will enable integration and collaboration across the various Water Sub-Business streams and wider key stakeholder areas
The role will support embedding of new technologies and solutions to facilitate the efficient operation of our system.
