The Army Training Regiment Winchester (ATR(W)) will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of training new recruits as they embark on their careers in the Army.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:

To provide effective HR Administration to the Regiment in the following areas:

  • Maintain electronic records using military IT systems, providing a first point of contact for military staff on matters relating to pay, allowances, leave and travel.
  • Provide advice and process documentation relating to arrivals and discharges.
  • Maintain up to date HR documentation in accordance with relevant policies and processes and in line with Data Protection regulations.
  • Provide advice and guidance on resettlement, security and vetting procedures.


Management of unit assignment orders in line with policy and processes and provide administrative and clerical support to Regiment as directed by the RAO.


Person specification:


You will be an effective communicator with the skills to engage with people at all levels, with an ability to be an effective decision maker delivering at pace whilst demonstrating a capability to deal with changing priorities.

In support of the RAO you will be adept at embracing and contributing towards change and improvement. IT Skills, basic numeracy and literacy essential to this role.
