    Senior Engineer - Interiors - Midlands or SurreyJob Reference No: ID 678Gordon Murray Technologies combines the expertise of visionary designers and engineers to bring disruptive technologies and low environmental impact innovations to the mobility sector. Critical to the implementation of iStream Superlight are integral modules and systems engineered to deliver a range of electrical functionalities - these technologies also being scaleable to serve the delivery demands of any specific platform configuration.With multiple sites in Shalford and Warwick, the Gordon Murray Technologies continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development.As a result, we currently have exciting opportunity for aSenior Engineer - Interiors to join our Interior Team in our Midlands or Surrey offices.Responsibilities:Responsible for design and/or engineering a functional area or multiple systems or processesDevelops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or productsAssists upper levels management and staff within a technical specialismPrepares full project documentsFormulates and solves problemsOwnership of relevant sections3D package modellingManage interface with stylingOccupant positioningEngineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle interior systems:FasciaTunnelSeatingRestraintsInstrument and controlsLower and rear trimUpper trimClosure trimHVACDesign for manufacture and assembly for responsible componentsEnsuring responsible designs meet legal complianceWork Package ManagementDesign Sizing AnalysisSub system loadsJoints and interfacesMaterials selectionBolt calculationsAssembly level simulationCost, timing and massIdentify and highlight any areas for continuous improvementEnsure that your technical knowledge and expertise is kept up to dateMentor and support professional development of all colleagues, particularly junior staffTo perform any other duties that may well be reasonably expected within the remit of the roleTo ensure compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within areas of responsibilityExperience and Qualifications:Engineering council professional registrationMember of professional practice organisation member of local representative committeeInvolved with outreach activities focuses towards higher education and professional bodiesWhat's on Offer:As well as the opportunity to work with a fantastic team, the position comes with:Gordon Murray Technologies are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender, pregnancy, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, medical history, race, marital status, genetic information or parental status.
