    Field Service Engineer (CPVC Domestic & Residential Sprinkler Systems)

    Full Time / Mon – Fri

    The role

    We are on the lookout for both trainees who are new to this role and/or industry, and candidates already working as experienced sprinkler service engineers, and welcome applications from candidates within reasonable commute from our Nottingham head office.

    You will be working independently carrying out the servicing of fire sprinkler systems and remedial works, in domestic houses and residential properties, such as care homes and apartment blocks. We work nationwide so you will be on the road and working at all locations around England, Wales and Scotland.

    This role will also involve liaison with your office-based colleagues, customers, and suppliers, completing paperwork and documentation, following relevant standards and being able to resolve site issues.

    If you come in as a trainee, our training program usually take 6 – 12 months. You will be required to sit a qualification after your initial training is completed.

    Salary/Package

    • Trainees: £23,920 - £29,640 – no previous experience required
    • Experienced / Qualified Engineers: £31,720 - £41,080 – previous experience and/or qualification required
    • 40 hours per week (Basic), plus paid overtime
    • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
    • Monthly pay

    • All tools, Uniform & PPE provided

    Candidates will:

    • Have an interest in engineering and/or fire safety and/or alarm systems
    • Be educated to GSCE standard or above
    • Be punctual, organized, flexible, self motivated
    • Have excellent communication skills & be able to listen carefully and follow instructions
    • A full UK driving licence, preferably clean, for AT LEAST 12 months
    • Have the right to work in the UK
    • Aged 18 or over, due to the Working Time Regulations
    • Hold a CSCS card (or can obtain one before employment commences)

    Overnight stays are often required in accommodation paid for by the Company, with an overnight allowance of £37 for meals, plus an additional bonus of £35 per night, paid in wages monthly.

    If training is required this will be site based practical training, but candidates will be expected to attend external and internal courses/training events when required (paid for by the Company) and pass a qualification.Time spent on coursework at home/in personal time may be required during your qualification.
