    Job Description

    The Role

    Brook Green Supply are an independent B2B energy supply company. You will be working in a small team at an exciting time for both the business and the industry. The role will provide a fantastic career opportunity for an ambitious, knowledgeable, and passionate individual, with personal development and progression aligned to the continued growth and success of the business.

    As part of the Policy & Regulation team, you will be at the forefront of Brook Green Supply's relationship with the energy industry working on exciting topics like the industry's transition to Net Zero. You will be directly involved in identifying, assessing, and prioritising major industry changes which will impact the operational, commercial, and strategic objectives of Brook Green Supply.

    Responsibilities

    • Respond to requests for information from the industry.
    • Research and write content for the weekly policy update.
    • Assist in the research & and writing of content for a quarterly risk report for customers.
    • Track and respond to relevant consultations.
    • Be responsible for code governance and manage the impact of modifications on Brook Green.
    • Assisting in raising modifications in line with Brook Green's objectives.
    • Help in the upskilling of staff internally.
    • Attending industry workgroups and conferences.
    • Develop relationships with contacts at Ofgem, DESNZ, and the wider industry.

    About you

    • 1-2 years of experience within a policy, regulation, or compliance energy team.
    • Strong interest in current affairs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • A confident communicator who can put across a view internally and externally, challenging others where necessary.

    Desirable skills & experience:

    • Previous experience dealing with code governance.
