    Graduate Mechanical Engineer - Building Services Design
    South Leeds
    Salary circa £25,000

    About the company:


    This Building Services Design consultancy is searching for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Leeds, ideally someone with a Buildings specific degree, but we may consider a pure Mechanical Engineering graduate with an understanding or experience with buildings.

    Having over 30 years' experience in the building environment and low energy designs, this medium sized company offer a range of services to their clients including mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy, low carbon consultancy, BIM, and BREEAM.

    Working across many sectors like retail, leisure and industrial, this consultancy has several high repeat clients which in turn offers the successful Mechanical Engineer the chance to progress in their career.


    Why would you want to work with this business? Due to the nature of their projects, you're able to progress very quickly and grow your experience because of the high turnover of projects.

    The more projects you work on, the more problems you're able to solve, the quicker you can progress.

    If you have a building services specific degree, ideally more bias to the Mechanical Design side, you'll be able to get involved with designing HVAC systems very quickly, alongside a more experience engineer.


    The team is made up of around 25 experienced engineers, designers and consultants collaborating to create energy-efficient systems in all of their projects from inception to completion.

    Their main priority is to always provide a high standard level of service to their clients which is what has gained them a reliable reputation in building services, thus resulting in long-term strong relationships with their customers.

    Using industry-leading technology such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP, they tailor systems to fit with their clients' needs and wants.


    Offering reports on dynamic thermal modelling, low and zero carbon energy, and daylight calculations, sustainability is at the heart of their projects.

    In this role, you will be supporting a Senior Engineer within a fast-paced environment, working on projects across the country.

    What they are looking for in a successful Graduate Mechanical Engineer:

    Ideally an understanding or experience of Building Services Design.
    Ideally a Building Services Design, Architectural Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering degree.
    Familiar with software packages such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp or have an understanding.
    The ability to mix well within a fast-paced environment.
